SITE SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. This role involves close coordination with contractors, consultants, and the internal project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervise all construction site activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate work efforts of multiple teams, including foremen, skilled, and unskilled labor.
  • Monitor adherence to construction plans, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions to site teams and/or subcontractors.
Planning & Reporting
  • Prepare and manage work and resource schedules for internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting progress reports.
  • Maintain and update a drawing register.
  • Document and track approved design changes as per site conditions.
Technical Oversight
  • Examine construction plans and prepare quantity requirements for procurement.
  • Review and validate contractor payment applications through re-measurement.
  • Ensure all work is executed using approved quality materials and per specifications.
  • Assess and report on the daily performance of labor and equipment.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety standards, including the use of PPE.
  • Identify potential safety risks and manage them appropriately.
  • Ensure all required site records and documentation are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
  • Proactively resolve project-related issues and escalate complex matters to the construction team.
  • Address and manage conflicts or challenges that arise during construction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building & Construction, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience supervising building and civil works projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and engineering software such as AutoCAD and ArchiCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of building specifications and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
